This Gauges are most suitable for the application of corrosive fluids, such as Urea, Tar Crude, Petroleum, Paper Pulp, Syrups, Fats, Cement, Coal Dust etc., These Gauges feature the most sophisticated welded Diaphragm technology guarding the intricate precision engineered gauge components against direct contact of process fluids, white the sealing medium : Liquid/Mercury transmits the pressure to the indicating pointer.
DESIGN FEATURE : In the Welded Diaphragm design the diaphragm is welded to the top chamber. The top is exactly contoured to fit diaphragm at maximum flexing-thus eliminates distortion of diaphragm and ensures no leakage of the sealing fluid. The top and bottom chambers are held together by clamping bolts and makes the assembly doubly sealed. The bottom chamber can easily be removed as a unit without breaking the seal in between top chamber and gauge for the purpose of cleaning the diaphragm.
OPERATION : A thin corrugated diaphragm separates the pressure instrument from the process fluid. The space above the diaphragm and the pressure element is solidly filled with SEAL FLUID which has got a low cubical expansion for greater temperature stability. Displacement of the 'liquid fill' brought about the by the flexing of the diaphragm transmits process pressure directly to the gauge element. the gauge can be fitted directly to the diaphragm or connected remotely with a length of capillary tubing. The measuring system is filled under vacuum at the factory which ensures total removal of any air bubble which otherwise may contribute towards calibration error.
APPLICATIONS : Diaphragm seal is a protection device to prevent corrosion, clogging or freezing of bourdon tube of pressure instruments used in difficult fluids. The only limitation is the volumetric capacity of the diaphragm seal. This is kept at minimum to reduce error because of temperature changes yet it is of sufficient volume for activating pressure elements to bring desired movement. |
